What is Rewards by Viking?

Rewards by Viking is a loyalty program that rewards our dedicated travel agents for booking their clients on Viking cruises. For every Viking cruise that an agent sells, they will earn hundreds of points which can then be redeemed in our online Rewards by Viking store for a wide range of brand-name items.

Why should I join Rewards by Viking?

Joining Rewards by Viking is a great way for you to be rewarded for your bookings, in addition to your usual commission.

What if my contact details change?

You can easily update your contact details by logging into your Rewards by Viking account. Click on ‘My Account’ and then ‘My Profile’ to update your information.

What if I change retail chains?

Simply contact us at rewardsbyviking@vikingcruises.com and provide us with the details of your new retail chain within 30 days of the change. You will also need to update your personal information on the Rewards by Viking website in the ‘My Account’ section within 30 days of the change. Your Rewards by Viking member ID and points balance will not be affected by these changes so long as this procedure is followed.

Points

How can I earn points with Rewards by Viking?

Travel agents will earn reward points for all bookings made directly with Viking – the more you book, the more you earn! Occasionally, we will also run promotions where bonus points will be awarded for select cruise itineraries and booking criteria.

Do I need to provide my Rewards by Viking member ID when making a booking to earn points?

Yes. When you phone our reservations team, please advise the consultant of your Rewards by Viking member ID so that they can ensure all bookings are credited to your account. Points will not be allocated to bookings retrospectively if you do not advise us of your member ID at the time of the booking. Once you have asked to put your member ID in your agent profile you will not need to provide it during every booking.

How many points can I earn with Rewards by Viking?

The number of points awarded is based on the total dollar value of the booking, including any pre- or post-accommodation, beverage packages, etc. – the more valuable the booking, the more points you will earn. Please see the table below for some examples. Please note that these figures are subject to change and used as a guide only.

When will my reward points arrive in my account?

Rewards by Viking points will be awarded after the client has departed on their cruise. Approximately halfway through each month, points for departed bookings from the previous month will land in your account. Occasionally, we will offer bonus reward points that will be awarded at the time of the booking rather than at the time of departure.

These points will arrive in your account on or around the 25th of the month for bookings made the previous month.

I have not received my reward points for an eligible booking. What should I do?

What can I use my Rewards by Viking points for?

Your points can be redeemed for an extensive range of brand-name items including electronics, sporting goods, home appliances and gift vouchers. You can browse the available range here.

Will my reward points ever expire?

Yes. Rewards by Viking points will expire after 36 months of being issued. You will receive communication via email advising you of the expiration date as it approaches. You can also check when your points are due to expire on the home page of our Rewards by Viking website.

Where can I find my Rewards by Viking points balance?

Once you have logged in, you can view your points balance on the home page of our Rewards by Viking website or in the ‘My Account’ section.

How do I redeem my points?

What if I do not have enough points for a reward, can I pay the difference in cash?

If you are based in Australia and you do not have sufficient Rewards by Viking points for your chosen product, you may be able to pay the difference using our Points Plus Pay option.

With Points Plus Pay, you can pay for up to 20% of the item’s value with an accepted payment card. For example, if you have 95 points available and you wish to redeem a reward with a 100-point price tag, you can redeem all of your points and pay the 5-point difference with an accepted payment card.

Please note that Points Plus Pay is only available to Australian-based participants.

When we launched Rewards by Viking, the accepted payment cards included: VISA, MasterCard and American Express credit or charge cards. We may add or remove card types during the life of the program.

Products

Why do the products available in the Rewards by Viking store occasionally change?

In the rare event that a product becomes unavailable or is discontinued by a supplier, it will be removed from the available product range and replaced if possible. Exciting new products are regularly added to the available product range.

Can I pool my points together with someone else’s?

No. Rewards by Viking points are not transferable to other accounts.

Rewards Orders and Delivery

What is my order number?

Your order number is a unique number used to identify your reward product order. For example: WL359633-1. You will find your order number on the order confirmation email you were sent following your purchase, or under ‘Points History’ in the ‘My Account’ section of the Rewards by Viking website. Please quote your order number whenever you make an order inquiry.

How do I know if my order went through properly?

You will receive an order confirmation email notifying you that your order has been received. This email will list details about your order including your order number, what you have ordered, your delivery address and the expected delivery date.

You will also find a record of any orders you have placed under ‘Points History’ in the ‘My Account’ section of the Rewards by Viking website.

When will my order be delivered?

Your order confirmation email will include the expected delivery date for your order. Every effort will be made to deliver your order on or before this date. If for any reason the delivery date cannot be met, you will be contacted directly.

You will also receive a dispatch confirmation email once your order has been sent out.

Where can I have my order delivered?

You may choose to have your Rewards by Viking order delivered to either a work or residential address. Please note that couriers require a signature on delivery.

How long will it take to deliver my order?

Products available for immediate dispatch are listed as ‘ready to dispatch’ on the Rewards by Viking website. If this applies to your selected product, depending on your location, your order should be delivered within 2-5 days.

Products not available for immediate dispatch will be listed on our website with a lead-time, e.g. ‘Delivery in 21 days’.

Do Rewards by Viking purchases come with a warranty? What is the process if I have an issue?

All products available in our store are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If you have any issues with a product, you should contact our service centre to organise a repair, replacement or refund. They will coordinate with the supplier, and either our service centre or the supplier will then liaise with you directly to finalise any arrangements.
